Year 1 (KS1)
Age 5 to 6. Simple addition and subtraction, phonics, early writing, and hands-on science.
Year 2 (KS1)
Age 6 to 7. Building confidence with reading, number facts, and first steps in history and geography.
Year 3 (Lower KS2)
Age 7 to 8. Times tables, longer reading passages, and experiments in science.
Year 4 (Lower KS2)
Age 8 to 9. Fractions, problem-solving, spelling patterns, and deeper topics like electricity.
Year 5 (Upper KS2)
Age 9 to 10. More complex maths, persuasive writing, forces in science, and local history.
Year 6 (Upper KS2)
Age 10 to 11. Preparation for SATs, decimals and percentages, longer texts, and global topics in geography.
